The experience

Come as you are, and I'll take care of the rest.
JUST THINK OF IT AS A HANGOUT with a new friend (me) who happened to bring their camera (YAY!)

I am anti-cheese, anti-staged, anti-anything that feels like a JCPenney family photoshoot or those dreaded yearbook photos.
The biggest lie I hear from the lovely people in front of my camera is, "I'm awkward." I’m committed to proving you wrong and making you feel comfortable and confident in front of my camera. During a session with me, you will be moving around a lot and (hopefully) laughing a lot while telling me about the people and things you love most. You'll rarely hear an 'okay, now smile' from me. It's all about letting go and trusting me to capture you as you are.
I want you to love your photos and feel like they are true to who you are as an individual. Do you and your partner go roller skating often? Sick! Let’s do your engagement photos there! Is there a spot you like to like to watch the sunset at? I want to photograph you in it! Let’s do something you love; something uniquely you, because I believe that when you look back at your photos, you will remember how it felt.
my recipe for authenticity = You + the person you love + the place you love + things you love doing
So if we're going to get up-close-and-personal,

it's important that we're a good fit.
Before any session or wedding is booked, I'll want to meet you for coffee or hop on a call to make sure we click. It's so important for me to connect with you (and visa versa) prior to any session. I want every person in front of my camera to feel like a friend (a hang out, share a playlist, play Just Dance kind of friend, lol). That is the place where the most authentic photos come from.
my clients are: go with the flow, not afraid to get messy, madly in love, ready to embrace any unexpected showers, willing to climb into that patch of tall grass next to the church you got married in, you get the jist.
How do we officially book you?
(01)
Great news: this process is super simple! After you fill out my contact form, I’d love to meet you over coffee, Zoom, or FaceTime to get to know you, hear about your vision, and make sure we’re a good fit. If you’re booking a wedding/elopement, I’ll send over a contract for you to sign, so I can get all the major event details in writing. I require a 30% retainer payment at the time of signing to lock in your date, and the rest of the amount is due 2 weeks before your wedding/elopement. For all other sessions, I don’t require a contract or retainer payment —I just ask that you pay the full amount for the session at least 1 week before our shoot so I can plan accordingly!
Do you travel?
(02)
Hell yeah! Though I’m based out of the Greenville, SC area, I’d love to travel to you or meet you at your dream destination. Depending on the distance, travel fees may apply, but I keep it straightforward. Round trip flight, rental car, and accommodations are required for all sessions booked outside of South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. I book my own flight and rental car, but I’ll send you alllll the cost details before finalizing anything to make sure you’re in the loop. For all sessions in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia, I only require overnight accommodations if the destination is more than 2 hours away.
How many pictures will I receive?
(03)
For weddings and elopements, you can expect to receive about 85 photos per hour of shooting. For all other sessions, you can expect 60-100 photos unless discussed otherwise.
How soon will I get my photos back?
(04)
For weddings, elopements, and engagement sessions, I’ll send you a sneak peek of some photos within 24 hours of our shoot to get you excited about the full gallery. You can expect your full wedding/elopement gallery 7-8 weeks from your wedding date (unless you add-on the "Gallery Rush” fee, which guarantees your gallery delivered within a week of your wedding/elopement date). For all other sessions, you can expect to have your full gallery 2-3 weeks from our shoot date.
How do I get the photos back?
(05)
I deliver all of my galleries through an online platform that allows for import and export of high resolution images. You can also share the link with friends and family to download photos. Though the link will not expire, I recommend that everyone download the full gallery on a trusty hard drive for safe keeping.
Do you edit the photos?
(06)
Yeah! You can take a look through my portfolios to get a feel for my style. I retouch in a way that makes your photos look timeless, not trendy. I am inspired by the colors and tones of old film photos and try to emulate that in a lot of my galleries, keeping the rest of the editing to a minimum.
How far out do you book?
(07)
I generally book up to a year and a half out for weddings, but I have booked elopements with as little as two weeks notice (I don’t recommend this, but I gotcha if that’s you!).
Kind Words
Having Bek as our wedding photographer was the best decision we made in our wedding planning. I treasure our photos and look at them daily. She managed to really capture who we are as a couple and make our day stand out. I have received many compliments on our photos from our wedding day. She truly knows how to work with people and with her camera to capture your best moments.
KEASLER + JONATHAN
Whatever the occasion, Bek is your girl. She has a unique creative eye and produces incredible photos which I will cherish forever. She is encouraging throughout the process and she made sure we felt like ourselves the whole time. Her comforting spirit made me feel confident in front of the lens! Although I typically don’t love getting my picture taken, the whole shoot felt so natural and I genuinely had such a fun time. I was so shocked to find photos of me and my partner that I actually wanted to show other people. She is the real deal.
CATE + GRIFFIN
I cannot imagine having had anyone else capture our sacred, special wedding day! Bek made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and the pictures she took are something I will cherish all the days of my life! She is creative, encouraging, and so easy to work with. I can't help but recommend her to anyone and everyone with a special occasion coming up!
